A destination wedding DJ quote should list every function with its date, venue and hours, who travels, what equipment is needed and who supplies it, how travel and accommodation are handled, the overtime rate and the payment stages. If any of those are missing, ask before you sign. With us, two events in Europe start from £3,950 plus travel, quoted as one price for the whole trip.
A quote for a London wedding can get by on a date, a venue and a price. A quote for a wedding abroad can't, because the gaps show up in another country, a day or two before the first function, when they are hardest to fix. We have flown to destination weddings since 2014, when our first ran for three days on Lake Como. This is the checklist we would want a couple to hold any quote against, ours included.
What a destination DJ quote should list
- Every function, with its date and venue. The welcome party, mehndi or haldi, sangeet, baraat, ceremony, reception and any after-party, each with its own line. A multi-day wedding can move between venues every day, and each venue has its own rules. Our three-day Indian wedding near Barcelona in October 2026 had four functions across three venues.
- The hours for each function. Start and finish times for every event, set against each venue's curfew and sound limit. If the quote gives one total for "the weekend", ask how the hours split across the functions.
- Who travels. The quote should name the DJ who will play every function and say whether an MC travels too. With us, the same team plays every function: Prit Nasha on the decks and our MC on the mic.
- The equipment, and who supplies it. Speakers, booth, microphones and lighting for each space, and whether they fly with the DJ or come from a local supplier. Ask who confirms the list with the venue, and when. We agree the equipment with your planner and venue before anyone books a flight; sound and lighting can be supplied locally to our specification.
- Travel and accommodation. Flights, luggage, transfers and rooms for everyone who travels, and how each is charged. With us, travel and accommodation are agreed up front.
- Overtime. The hourly rate if the night runs on, and a note that it depends on the venue allowing extra time. Ours is £200 per hour abroad, agreed with you before we continue.
- Payment stages. The deposit that secures the date, and the balance, due 30 days before the event. We take 50% to secure the date, and the balance is due 30 days before the event.
- What happens if a flight is cancelled. Ask the DJ how they plan their travel around the first function, what they would do if a flight is cancelled or badly delayed, and who pays for a replacement. Get the answer in writing.
How to compare two destination quotes
- Line up the same functions and hours. A lower price for two evenings is not cheaper than a higher price for four functions over three days.
- Check where travel sits. One quote may include flights and rooms and another may add them later. Compare the totals once travel is agreed.
- Check where the sound comes from. If a local supplier provides the equipment, ask whether their cost is inside the DJ's quote or billed separately by the supplier or the venue.
- Check the names. The quote should say who plays and who hosts each function, not just the company.
How we quote a destination wedding
We quote the whole trip as one price, built around your dates, functions and venues. Two events in Europe start from £3,950, plus travel. A longer trip with more functions costs more, and the quote sets out what each function includes. Travel and accommodation are agreed up front, overtime abroad is £200 per hour, and 50% secures the date.
The same team plays every function: Prit Nasha on the decks and our MC on the mic, from the welcome party to the last song. We agree the equipment with your planner and venue before anyone books a flight, and sound and lighting can be supplied locally to our specification. That is how the wedding near Barcelona ran in October 2026. Since Lake Como in 2014 we have played weddings in Tuscany and Santorini (both 2024), at the Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama, and in Toronto (September 2026), and went back to Lake Como for a wedding reception in summer 2025.
Our destination wedding DJ page covers how the trip works, and there are pages for an Indian wedding DJ in Italy and an Indian wedding DJ in Spain. Our UK and destination starting prices are on the pricing page.
For a quote: send us your dates, the list of functions, the venues and your planner's details. We will come back with one quote for the trip, with every line above on it. Send us the basics.
